K-1 Fiancée/Fiancé Visa Application Overview:

The K-1 Fiance Visa, also known as the K-1 Visa, can be used by U.S. citizens bring their prospective husbands or wives to the United States with the intention of getting married. A main requirement for the K-1 Visa is that the marriage must take place within 90 days of entering the United States. It is not possible to extend the 90 day limit. The foreign spouse may also bring his or her minor children on K-2 Visas.
