8 out of 10? I would say that only 1 or 2 profiles on a quality site are scammers that got through the profile checking process. To avoid getting caught up though, just remember the first rule of international dating - do not send any money to someone you have never met. Some common sense can save you a lot of heart ache.

Hey Terri,

It has been a pleasure assisting you through the process. I am happy to hear you took your time. Your relationship is going to be all the better for it. It always makes me feel good to hear when a couple is moving forward in their lives. It is a tough juggle for me to guide a couple through the process versus the relationship. Both are extremely important and although I know that not every relationship will turn out great, somewhere inside me I like to think that all my couples will do just fine. ~ Art

Hi Art
I have emailed you several times and want to say thanks for replying so quickly. We have been taking our time as well. It has been a process of getting to know each other over a 4 year span. In the last 2 years we have met 9 times. Several of those visits for me going to the US were for 2 or so months. I really strongly agree with you on the time frame thing. Our relationship is very strong but would not have been that way without taking the time. All our paper work is now gathered and we are going to file mid April.
Thanks for all your help. Sure glad I bought your kit over a year ago. It has made a HUGE difference in our preparation.
much appreciated

Try to apply as soon as you know for sure you want to marry. Also I am sure you met your potential spouse already, but if you have not, then take a trip out there to meet before applying. Save everything, emails, phone call logs, trip tickets, store receipts while abroad. Save it all for the proof you will eventually need to show the USCIS. Hope this helped.

Thank you for the question. You apply for the visa once you are confident you want to marry. It is really your own personal decision between you and your fiancee. Once you are sure you want to marry, start the process as soon as you can. Don't make any wedding plans before your fiancee gets the visa. Sometimes interview dates slip etc. and you end up getting married a little later than expected. It does make the actual wedding planning a little more challenging. Hope this response helped.
