Russian women are family-oriented, good-looking and feminine. They make good wives, good mothers and if to believe everything that Russian marriage agencies say, they can make your life pretty much a fairy tale. While this sounds fantastic, many men skeptically wonder if it is really possible to meet a good Russian woman online and live happily ever after.
As a Russian woman I would love to say that all Russian women are immaculate and breathtakingly beautiful angelic creatures and that life with them is nothing less than a paradise. Unfortunately, because of the fear of losing my hard-earned credibility and due to respect for my parents who taught me that honesty was always the best policy, I can’t say that. Russian women have many positive qualities and they do make many Western men happy, but just like women of any other descent, they have flaws and weaknesses, so before you start online dating you need to realize that despite of what Russian dating agencies are saying, Russian women are not perfect.
Before I answer the question whether it is realistic to find a good Russian woman online or not, we need to determine what exactly “good” means for you.
If by “good” you mean an independent, career-oriented feminist, then most likely your search will be unsuccessful. Don’t get me wrong, there are feminists in Russia, but they are a minority and it is unlikely that they will search for a partner online.
If by “good” you mean attractive, family-oriented, intelligent lady, then the answer will be yes. Russian women are known for their good looks not because their facial features are extra-ordinarily beautiful, but simply because they take good care of themselves. They are family-oriented because of their mentality and Russian culture and they are often intelligent, because most of them have higher education, which is also a part of Russian life and culture.
It is realistic to find a good (by second definition) woman because there are thousands of Russian women who are looking for a Western husband online. Russian women want to get married and have a family, because in their culture that’s what real happiness means. There are more men than women in Russia and most Former Soviet Union countries, so Russian ladies start searching for a husband abroad.
Don’t expect your search to go smoothly though, because as I said before Russian women are not perfect and you may find that some of them possess qualities that you don’t want to see in your future wife. Online dating, just like every other dating, requires time and effort, so don’t expect everything to work out with a woman just because she is Russian. Don’t assume that she is the one just because she looks hot and is in your age category. Get to know her better and don’t forget that she also has a choice, so even if you think she is might be the one, you might not be the one for her.
Online dating can get frustrating, especially if you hate writing long letters and her English is not fluent enough to communicate with you over the phone. But with patience, determination and an open-mind, I am positive that you can find a wonderful Russian woman online and not only be happy with her but make her happy as well.
