Let us jump right into this. Never send money to someone you have not met and always meet your fiance a number of times before trusting her with your personal information.
If you are going to marry this girl, she will need to see your entire life including bank accounts, tax returns etc. She will need to carry and present these kinds of documents to the embassy officer during her interview. So do not trust until you are 100% sure.
I have heard a lot of stories of people trusting too much when it comes to dating overseas. Currently there are over 1000 black listed women from just Russian and former Soviet Republics.
What does Blacklisted Russian Women or Blacklisted Ukrainian Women mean? It means a woman from a country other than the USA has been reported as scamming men for money or American Visas.
What you can expect from someone scamming you?
The first thing you will notice with a woman like this is her immediate attraction to you. She will use the words, I love you over and over again. Scammers are great at making you feel that you are the only one for her. Yet, in actuality they are speaking to many guys a month.
The more guys they can talk to at one time the more potential for making money.
Ask yourself this question. If you met someone for the first time here in the USA and she started to tell you within the first few days of meeting you that she loved you, would you feel comfortable? Most people would say no. So why would someone from another country make you feel any different? You have not met her and you do not really know her true intentions.
If the girl wants to come visit you in the USA and requests help, that is a major red flag. Everyone that lives in Russia or the old Soviet Republics knows it is not possible to come to the USA as a visitor. All she wants is for you to send her the money to pay for a visa that does not exist. She gets the money and you get scammed. If you aren’t sure, pick up the phone and call the USCIS 1-800-375-5283.
Just a side note: I tried this myself when I was dating my Ukrainian Fiance. I tried to get her a B-2 tourist visa and was immediately denied. I worked hard on preparing the visa documents and sent all the right information. Yet, she was still denied. So don’t try it, it is a waste of your time and money.
If the girl you are talking to starts to mention the need for money in any form. It is time to walk away. Ninety-nine percent of the time, she is a Scammer. Best thing to do is tell her you don’t want to talk about money so soon and see what happens. Most of the time the girl will disappear or she will start communicating sporadically. Since you are no longer the catch of the day, she will move on to easier prey.
Keep in mind that the girl in the picture is not really her. Most of the time, the picture is of an actress or model. Sometimes the person behind the picture can be a guy.
These people have a very limited time to get as much money out of you as possible before you find out about them or before someone else reports them.
What happens after you send them money? They completely disappear. You never hear from them and you will never see your money again. No one will investigate your claims and no one will care. The typical method of sending money is through Western Union. All these Scammers know the “ins and outs” of Western Union.
Remember this is not the USA this is another country and corruption is the name of the game.
Now these girls are really good at what they do. They will have a story for all your questions. Don’t think it will be easy to catch them at their game. Some will even call you multiple times a week to convince you they are real.
To summarize, make sure you meet your fiance many times before trusting her with your money or personal information. One mistake can cost you a lifetime of grief. Keep in mind that although your girl might be showing these signs of being a Scammer, she might be legitimate. In my next article I will show you how to know for sure if she is real or not.
