Three Things You Should Never Do Before Meeting Your Foreign Fiance.

Here are some really good rules that everyone should use before jumping into the K1 Fiance Visa process. The process can seem really simple. Jump online, choose a beautiful girl and get married. But I can tell you from experience it is not that simple. Even if you have already found someone and dating, these simple “Dos and Don’ts” will help you succeed.

Here is what you do not want to do.

1) Do not use website that offer free dating services. Almost all the women on this site are not real. The photographs that these women send you are not real. If you are dating and talking to a woman from a free website, use caution. Give the relationship at least three to six months before moving forward. Send flowers to her home address. Have the agency take a picture of her to ensure you are talking to a real person. Most of the time the girl will disappear when she realizes you are getting too serious.

2) One rule that is blasted out all over the Internet is, “Never Send Money to Someone You Have Never Met”. Why? Most of the time if a woman is asking you for money, she is not real. She just wants to get as much money out of you as possible before moving on to her next victim. Often times she will go to the extreme of calling you to try and convince you that she is real. Don’t fall for it. The best thing to do is move on to someone new.

3) Keep your personal information private. Identity theft is just as big of a business abroad as it is here. The more information you give out, the easier it is for her to steal your identity. Don’t give it out. You need to be comfortable with her before any conversation of this nature can be discussed. Entertain this type of conversation only after you have met her.

Here is what you should be doing.

1) Ask lots and lots of questions. Ask her about her life. What does she like in life? What are her dislikes. Are you compatible? The only way to know is to ask the hard questions. Don’t be blinded by the beauty of the picture. If you are not compatible beauty will not keep a marriage together.

2) A rule I speak about often in my articles is, “Meet your potential fiance more than once”. Although the K1 Fiance Visa process only mandates meeting once, I don’t recommend it. Do your relationship a favor and meet a minimum of three times.

3) To help submit your K1 Fiance Visa Application you will need proof of your meetings. Save as much information as possible. Save boarding passes, receipts, phone logs and emails. Anything that can show proof that you met is important.

When finding or dating a woman from abroad, these are the first “Dos and Don’ts”. Do these few simple things before starting the K1 Fiance Visa Process. Your relationship will be stronger and more stable for it.
